Paint is the finish a client runs their hand and eye over, and the one that shows every missed step underneath. A good paint finish is almost entirely about preparation — the surface, the fill, the sand, the primer — and far less about the final coat than people think. We treat preparation as the work, because that is where a finish lasts or fails.
EDM Holdings delivers commercial painting and decorative finishes: internal and external painting, specialist and decorative finishes, protective and high-performance coatings, and the surface preparation that sits under all of it. Because we also build the walls and ceilings, we can hand the painter a surface that is ready — flat, filled and dry — rather than fighting someone else's substrate.
Systems are chosen for the surface and the environment, not by habit. A plant room, a wet area, a high-traffic corridor and a boardroom wall each need a different specification, and we apply the one the conditions call for. Coats are checked for coverage and finish in the light the space will actually be used in, not under temporary site lighting. Where access is the challenge — atria, soffits, high walls — we plan the access and the safety with the works.
This is commercial, hospitality, healthcare, education and government work across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Fujairah and Umm Al Quwain, including occupied-building repaints sequenced around the people still using the space. We finish to a standard that reads clean under daylight and stands up to use.
We are asked back because the finish lasts. Preparation done properly, the right system for the surface and checks in real light mean the walls still read clean a year after handover, not just on the day the snag list closes. On a repaint in an occupied building, that same discipline means the client barely notices we were there.

How we run the work.
Preparation is the work. We make good, fill, sand and prime so the surface is sound before a finish coat goes near it, because a perfect topcoat over poor preparation still fails.
Systems are specified for the surface and the environment — moisture, traffic, hygiene, fire — and applied to the manufacturer's data for build and drying. Coverage and film build are checked per coat in the light the space will be used in, access for high-level work is planned with the safety, and occupied areas are sequenced and protected so the client keeps using the building.

We start with your drawings, specification and programme — and give you a clear read on scope, sequence and the questions that need answering before anyone prices a rate.
Design coordination
We resolve the interfaces — services, structure, the trades either side of us — and check the build-up against the fire, acoustic and finish schedules before work begins.
Procurement
Materials and rated components are ordered against the specification, with lead times planned into the programme so the floor is never waiting on a delivery.
Site mobilisation
We set up to the main contractor's site rules, agree access and storage, and put the RAMS and permits in place so work starts cleanly.
Installation
The people who priced the job run it on site, working to line and level and checking the work as it goes in rather than after.
Quality assurance
Line, level, rating and finish are checked as the work proceeds and recorded, so the system stands up at inspection.
Handover
We hand over in sections, finished and ready for the following trade — clean, not nearly there.
